Commercial Pest Control Contracts

Our Technicians will regularly inspect your premises for signs of pest activity, report on potential pest access point's advise on hygiene and housekeeping to help reduce future pest problems.

Detailed Survey & Treatment reports are provide on each site visit keeping you up to date with the correct paper work for any audits or environmental health inspections.

1. STANDARD SPECIFICATION

Rodent Control (eight visits)

Control of Rats and Mice inside the premises forms part of a routine pest control program. The quotation is based on eight site inspections per contract year, at six weekly intervals.

Internal bait stations will be situated to cover all areas of concern. External bait stations will be sited and maintained subject to their inclusion on the service agreement.

All bait points are included within the contract price, but will remain the property of Norwich Pest Control.

All materials are included within the routine site visit cost.

Control of the pest species covered means that reasonable steps will be taken to prevent infestation.

Where infestation occurs reasonable measures will be made to reduce and where possible eradicate the problem. If rodent problems occur between visits, the call out / follow up visits will be free of charge.

Follow up visits will be carried out to monitor problems that have occurred.

The number and frequency of follow up visits will be decided by the technician, taking into account the severity of the problem and the pest species involved.

Proofing of the premises will not be covered under this contract.

The customer will be required to carry out reasonable recommendations, which will help prevent or reduce infestations.

Attention to hygiene and proofing of the building may be required and failure to do so may result in the level of control being effected.

Reporting System

As a professional company, we are very aware of the importance of excellent record keeping, and the need to work with the current legislation.

A Survey and Treatment Report will be completed following each site inspection.

The report folder will contain:

  • 3. Recommendations
  • 4. C.O.S.H.H.
  • 5. Pesticide Usage Record
  • 6. Miscellaneous

Insect Control

The control of garden ants − Lasius niger will be carried out in areas of concern, such as food preparation areas, kitchens, canteens and office areas.

Spot treatments will cover small infestations that may occur at irregular intervals. However, large infestations that occur, requiring repeated treatments are excluded under the definition of spot treatments. External treatments will be charged at rates dependant on circumstance and agreed prior to treatment. Free call out visits will be limited to two per annum. Treatments for ants during a routine visit will be free of charge.

3. SPECIFICATION FOR THE PROVISION OF THE ADVANCED REPORTING SYSTEM

Advanced reporting service

The advanced reporting service is designed to provide for pest control inspections and treatment in an integrated form to comply with requirements of the UK food industry. The service is based upon:

1. Routine Inspections and Treatments by a qualified technician at the agreed level of frequency, based on eight visits per annum, at six weekly intervals.

2. Technical Inspection giving an in depth, highly detailed report, based on four visits per annum, at quarterly intervals.

Routine Inspection Procedure

  • a. Identify and Report evidence of any pest activity found, irrespective of cover under the agreement.
  • b. Where the pest is covered under the agreement take necessary action to solve the infestation
  • c. Where the pest is not covered under the agreement, advise the client of necessary actions, and carry out work if requested.
  • d. Examine and date Rodent and Insect monitoring points.
  • e. Identify and provide recommendations that could eliminate or reduce pest infestation, i.e. hygiene, house keeping, proofing, storage and stacking.
  • f. Complete a survey and treatment report.

Technical Inspections Procedure

  • a. Carryout items a-e above.
  • b. Carryout an internal audit of the level and quality of service provided by the technician.
  • c. Review the current pest prevention requirements.
  • d. Provide a detailed report of the level of pest control to the senior site manager, including recommendations for risk areas.

Follow up visit frequency

Rodents:

  • a. Internal; follow up visits will be carried out every other working day until the infestation is clear.
  • b. External; follow up visits will be carried out weekly until the infestation is clear.

Insects:

  • c. Follow up visits will be carried out weekly until the infestation is controlled.

Emergency call outs

These will be provided free of charge for the pest covered under the agreement.

Same day or next day.

Reporting System

A comprehensive reporting system will be issued and maintained.

The report folder will contain:

  • Contract Specification: Detailing client information and requirements
  • Summary Record: Brief description of each visit to provide rapid assessment of recent history
  • Site Plan: Showing and Numbering the position of monitoring points
  • Checklist: Numbering and Location of the monitoring points
  • Survey and Treatment Reports: A detailed report of each site inspection
  • EFK Report: Maintenance records and catch tray analysis of electronic fly killers
  • Recommendations Advice on hygiene, proofing, storage etc
  • Product Usage Information: Information of all pesticides used on site
  • C.O.S.H.H. reports: Assessment of risk relating to the use of specific pesticides used on site
  • Product Safety Data Sheets: Technical information covering pesticides used on site

Stored Product Insects

Where stored product insects are covered under the agreement, there should be in place a cleaning schedule alongside the pest prevention program. The absence of a cleaning program will limit the treatment of stored product insects to spot treatments only.

Control of these pests invariably involves the treatment of production machinery and building fabric. This may require special treatments such as fumigation, which is not covered under the Advanced Specification.

Due Diligence

The customer will be required to carry out reasonable recommendations, which will help prevent or reduce infestations. Attention to hygiene and proofing of the building may be required and failure to do so may result in the level of control being effected. Proofing of the premises will not be covered under this agreement.

Hours of Work

Unless specified all treatments and inspections are to take place within normal working hours of 0900 – 1700 hours, Monday – Friday excluding bank holidays.

HIRE AND MAINTENANCE of ELECTRONIC FLY KILLERS

Routine Inspections

Routine inspections of the electronic fly killers will be carried out, based on one main service and three routine inspections per contract year.

A main service will include:

  • 1. Check for obvious defects
  • 2. Clean the inside and outside of each unit
  • 3. Brush and Clean the electric Grid
  • 4. Check electrical output
  • 5. Replace UV tubes
  • 6. Reassemble

During a routine service, the above will be carried out with the exception of the replacement tubes.

UV Tubes

Tube replacement will be carried out using non-shatterproof tubes, unless specified within the service agreement. In the event of tube failure, defect tubes will be replaced free of charge.

Breakdown

An initial inspection to clarify the cause of a machine’s failure will be completed. All repairs will be carried out, or the machine replaced. The decision to repair or replace the machine will be at the sole discretion of the technician. The warranty shall not apply where defects are caused by the improper use, damage, alteration, and failure to follow the manufacturers instructions by the customer.

Catch Tray Analysis

A survey report together with a list of insects and their approximate numbers will be recorded, and kept on file.

Ownership

All units will remain the property of Norwich Pest Control.
